The Impact The Virus Had

My name is Maura Tini, I am a Senior at Kutztown University.

Us seniors went on spring break thinking we would come back for one last time and before we knew it we were stuck in our houses without a last time together, it was quickly taken away form us and we were not prepared. It had many of my friends in shock, we do not want to believe it is true that we wont be on the Kutztown campus anymore. We will not go out together anymore, walk to class together, or even make more memories before we all go our separate ways. The virus took us all at surprise but the virus took over everyones lives not just graduating seniors.

What it was like at school..

As a senior you are excited about graduating but you are still sad thinking about leaving the school you love and the people you love. For my Senior year I had 4 classes, I worked two jobs, and still enjoyed time with my friends. Before spring break started I was ready for it. I expected to see everyone when spring break was over but that was not the case at all. I think what happened made everyone freak out and I for one was shocked. School was going great and everyone was having fun. It was the same routine every week.

School closing..

I did not want to believe it and I still do not. School turned into online and Senior year was taken from us Seniors. I did not think this was going to happen especially to me. I thought I would return for the last two months with my best friends at school. I thought we would make memories we would remember forever. When I first heard about the virus in China I did not think that it would come and turn everything upside-down. I was not prepared at all and I do not think anyone was prepared for it. I still did not rap my mind around it. It is like a bad dream I want to wake up from. My friends and I appreciate each other so much more now. We did not even get to say goodbye to each other we thought we would have the opportunity graduation night at the bar for one last time.
